Refund and Cancellation Policy

At AlphaCar (alphacar.gr), we want to ensure a transparent and secure transaction process for all our customers. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are processed for services booked through our website using the Nexi Xpay payment gateway.

1. General Principles

All transactions are processed in Euros (€). By making a booking or purchase on alphacar.gr, you agree to the terms laid out in this policy.

2. Right of Withdrawal & Cancellations

According to EU consumer protection law, the right of withdrawal may vary depending on the service:

  • Car Rental Bookings: * Full Refund: Cancellations made at least [e.g., 48 hours] prior to the scheduled pick-up time are eligible for a full refund of the prepaid amount.
    • Partial Refund / Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made within [e.g., 24-48 hours] of the pick-up time may be subject to a cancellation fee of [e.g., 20%] or the cost of one rental day.
    • Non-Refundable: Cancellations made less than [e.g., 24 hours] before pick-up, or “No-Shows,” are generally non-refundable.

3. Refund Process

.If you are entitled to a refund:

  1. Method: The refund will be credited exclusively to the original credit/debit card used for the transaction via the Nexi Xpay system. For security reasons, we cannot issue refunds to a different card or bank account.
  2. Timeline: Once we process your refund, it typically takes 3 to 10 business days for the amount to appear in your account, depending on your issuing bank’s policies.
  3. Notification: You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated from our side.

4. Transaction Security (Nexi Xpay)

All payments are processed through the Nexi Xpay secure electronic payment platform. AlphaCar does not store your credit card details on our servers. Nexi uses TLS encryption and supports 3D Secure protocols (Verified by Visa, MasterCard ID Check) to ensure your transaction is protected against fraud.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

In cases of “Force Majeure” (e.g., extreme weather conditions, government restrictions, or mechanical failure of the assigned vehicle), AlphaCar reserves the right to cancel a booking. In such rare events, the customer will be offered an alternative vehicle or a 100% refund of the amount paid.
